We are pleased to announce MAYYA SALIBA™ won the WORTH Partnership Project by the European Commission and the COSME Programme of the European Union; as well as the award for “Best Sustainable Fashion Project 2019” by the British Council. With the support of our partners, Lena Fashion Library and GreenBuzz Amsterdam, we are investigating the future of circular fashion in a shared economy and how open-source knowledge transfer can accelerate societal change.

Lena Fashion Library is a concept store based on the re-use philosophy. It offers customers a borrowing option, in which their curated collections can be rented through a subscription.

GreenBuzz Amsterdam is a peer-to-peer network for professionals active or interested in sustainability. They organise diverse events and formats focused on different sustainability topics.

The WORTH Partnership Project supports collaborations between SMEs and start-up designers, manufacturers and technology firms to create innovative products and ideas. The initiative is implemented by a consortium across Europe with the core belief that the creative industries are key drivers of economic growth in Europe. Presented during the WORTH Weekend on the 2nd and 3rd of March in Valencia alongside 85 finalists, the project was chosen to receive an incubator programme valued at €60,000 including international media exposure, seed money and a tailor-made mentoring programme. Within the framework of the WORTH Partnership Project, it was awarded “Best Sustainable Fashion Project 2019” by the British Council. The award provides the winners the opportunity to train in some of the world’s leading design and fashion institutions based in the United Kingdom and access to the British Council’s network in Spain, Greece and France.
